Public Education

Ripon Fire District personnel welcome hundreds of people into the fire station every year. Tours catering to all age levels offer insight into the operation, personnel, equipment, practices, and procedures that constitute the department. They also teach fire and life safety lessons such as "stop, drop and roll," "fall and crawl," "don't hide, go outside," and much, much more.

During Fire Prevention Month, fire district personnel provide fire safety lessons at our local schools and crews can be found visiting participating Kindergarten through 3rd grade classes to reinforce fire safety behaviors taught in the classroom.

CPR and First Aid training is provided to the community on a monthly basis. These courses are taught by Ripon Fire Paramedic and EMT staff firefighters, as well as other certified instructors.
