Fire Chaplain Lloyd Wicker

Chaplain Lloyd Wicker is a Master Instructor with the Federation of Fire Chaplains; and Senior Chaplain with the International Conference of Police Chaplains. Chaplain Wicker serves the Ripon Consolidated Fire District by responding to various calls to assist in emergency situations; he functions as a liaison with hospitals, provides spiritual guidance, conducts/assists at funerals, officiates at weddings, provides counseling, functions as a link to the faith community, participates in death notifications, attends department functions, conducts various classes, and is available for visitation, as requested.

Chaplain Wicker recently taught an introductory course in Fire Chaplaincy and hopes to facilitate additional chaplaincy and critical incident-related courses to train more individuals who will be willing to respond to their communities in times of emergency.

The Ripon Fire District is truly blessed to have the support of Almond Valley Christian Reformed Church in allowing its senior pastor to serve the Ripon Fire District and the community of Ripon in the capacity of Fire Chaplain.
