Ripon Fire District responds with Advanced Life Support (ALS) Paramedics to all emergency medical incidents within our district. Our highly-skilled paramedics have been equipped with state-of-the-art medical diagnostic equipment and are able to render the most advanced pre-hospital emergency medical care available today.

Ripon Fire District is currently one of only three Paramedic-staffed fire departments in the central valley; and the only San Joaquin County fire department that provides our own ambulance transportation to all the local medical centers.

Among our full-time and volunteer staff, we have 14 Paramedics and 22 Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT). All Paramedics and EMTs undergo regular training and education to maintain highest level of knowledge and expertise.

All of this allows the District to provide constant staffing of one ALS transport ambulance. In addition, one engine is equipped with ALS and staffed as allowed.
