TECHNICAL RESERVE UNIT

The Technical Reserve Unit (TRU) is a separate unit of the Ripon Consolidated Fire District (RCFD). This unit is staffed by volunteer/non-fire personnel with no fire fighting responsibilities and serves the district in a “technical reserve” capacity. The skills and abilities of private citizens are utilized in support of the RCFD and its ancillary projects and programs.

The TRU Coordinator is charged with the oversight of the unit and reports directly to the RCFD Fire Chief. The TRU Coordinator is also available to work laterally, with the Battalion Chiefs, to assist them in various projects.

The TRU will consist of as many members as deemed necessary by the District Fire Chief and the TRU Coordinator.
Consideration for membership is based on application submission, a reference review, a personal interview, and the current needs of the District. An application may be obtained here or by emailing blange@riponfire.com.
